Retail Week looks ahead to next week with MySale’s interim results and full-year figures from Wickes owner Travis Perkins on the agenda.

MySale

The Australian flash sales etailer will unveil its interim results on Tuesday.

The business, which boasts retail tycoons Sir Philip Green and Mike Ashley among its backers, said in January that it had swung back into the black during the six months ending December 31.

It posted underlying EBITDA of Aus$1.5m (£750,000) following a 4% hike in sales during the period. That followed an Aus$11.4m (£5.67m) loss in the first half of 2015.

Observers will be hoping the interim trading statement provides a more detailed update on its UK business, which bosses said had displayed “the first signs of encouraging growth and performance” during the half year.

Wickes

The DIY retailer’s parent company Travis Perkins will report its full-year trading figures on Thursday.

The business, which also owns Tile Giant and Toolstation, will be looking to build on strong first-half results from its consumer arm.

The three retailers combined to deliver a 13.9% jump in operating profit to £41m during the six months ending June 30 as Wickes’ online sales and range reviews gained traction.

Travis Perkins bosses said in August that they were targeting 100 new Toolstation stores to take on Kingfisher-owned Screwfix.
