The Gate, which is part of international tech marketing agency MSQ, will work on strengthening the brand’s platform and creative approach while delivering creative campaigns throughout the year.

The Very Group was supported by agency evaluation and selection consultancy Oystercatchers. Creative agencies Pablo and Mr President were shortlised as part of the pitch process.

The Very Group chief marketing officer Jessica Myers said: “We want to thank all the agencies that participated, we were humbled to see the passion, energy and creativity they all brought to the process.

“However, The Gate demonstrated richer customer knowledge and outstanding strategic thinking, resulting in a truly distinctive creative idea to excite customers and galvanise our organisation. The culture and values of The Gate are also a perfect match for The Very Group and we are really excited to begin our journey together.”

The Gate chief executive Jamie Elliott said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with The Very Group. Their ambition is inspiring and their energy infectious. We also share a similar mindset and values, foundations for a successful relationship producing standout work. We are raring to go.”
