Sports Direct-owned boxing brand Everlast will be sold exclusively in US retail group Sears’ stores in a direct-to-retail licensing deal.

Everlast apparel, footwear and accessories will be carried in 850 Sears and 1,325 Kmart shops as well as on the retailer’s websites. Sears plans to launch the brand from spring next year.

Sears Holdings executive vice president for apparel and home John Goodman said: “We are pleased to be working with a global, iconic fitness brand like Everlast. With this agreement, we will add an authentic fitness brand to our Sears and Kmart stores, offering quality apparel and footwear to our customers from a brand they know and trust.”

Everlast chief executive Neil Morton said: “The brand will have unprecedented retail distribution and marketing in the apparel, footwear and accessories categories.”

The Sports Direct brand’s wholesale and licensed boxing and fitness equipment will continue to be sold through sporting goods specialist retailers in the US.
