Dominic Appleton will succeed Rachel Izzard

The announcement follows his appointment as chief financial officer designate in March this year.

The pureplay fashion retailer described Appleton as “an experienced finance professional” as he joins from his previous role as group finance director at The Very Group. He also previously held roles as chief financial officer at Hotter Shoes as well as bathroom retailer Victoria Plum.

N Brown said that Appleton’s appointment to the board remains “subject to FCA approval”.

A statement from the retailer read: “The board would like to express their gratitude to Rachel Izzard for her work with Steve Johnson, group chief executive officer, and the board to ensure an orderly handover period to Dominic.”

On his appointment as CFO designate earlier this year, Appleton said: “I’m excited to be joining Steve and the N Brown team next month. I have admired N Brown for some time for its inclusive vision and I’m very much looking forward to supporting the strategic transformation journey of this great business.”
