Jigsaw has reported a healthy boost in Christmas sales as it continued to shun Black Friday.

The retailer’s online sales jumped 34% during the period, while sales at its branded fascia The Shop at Bluebird grew 16%.

Jigsaw’s biggest international territory, Australia, posted a 61% sales leap.

Chief executive Peter Ruis said: “Jigsaw continues to innovate at this time of year with a compelling offer around fashion and gifting.

“The unique collaboration with chocolatier Rococo came to the fore, bolstered by cutting-edge omnichannel agility.”

The fashion retailer, which has more than 80 standalone stores, was put up for sale by its founder and controlling stakeholder John Robinson in October.
