House of Fraser will stop selling Mary Portas’ fashion brand this summer, throwing the future of the range into doubt.

The Spring/Summer ’15 collection, which is currently in 12 stores and online, will be the last ‘Mary & House of Fraser’ collaboration, Retail Week can reveal.

It is unclear if Portas will continue selling her fashion range elsewhere. A Portas spokesman would not comment on the future of the brand.

Mary Portas said: “I would like to thank House of Fraser for embracing the innovative Pret-a-Portas concept with me. I believe that they will continue the philosophy which we began together, to offer women a brilliant place to shop on the high street.”

The partnership with House of Fraser began four years ago. It aimed to create a “new retail offer” for women over 40 selling fashion along side tea and coffee.

Nigel Oddy, House of Fraser’s chief executive, said: “We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Mary over the years and we wish her the best in all her current and future endeavours.”
