Frasers calls for resignation of Accent Group chair as takeover bid drags on
Frasers Group chief financial officer Chris Wootton has issued a letter to Australian retailer Accent Group chair Lawrence Myers, calling on him to resign following the publication of the brand’s FY26 results.
In the letter, Wootton said that Myers’ position had become “untenable” and was critical of the brand’s broader 2030 strategy. The letter comes nearly three months after Frasers Group launched a takeover bid for Accent, with the retailer having extended the takeover bid through to the end of September.
