Frasers calls for resignation of Accent Group chair as takeover bid drags on
Frasers Group CFO Chris Wootton has issued a letter to Australian retailer Accent Group chair Lawrence Myers, calling on him to resign following the publication of the brand’s FY26 results.
n the letter, Wootton said that Myers’ position had become “untenable” and was critical of the brand’s broader 2030 strategy. The letter comes nearly three months after Frasers Group launched a takeover bid of Accent, with the retailer having extended the takeover bid through to the end of September.
