Luxury electricals brand Bang & Olufsen has opened a global flagship on New Bond Street, showcasing its range of speakers and televisions.

The 4,000 sq ft store has been designed to “cater to the needs of individual customers” by offering an immersive shopping experience.

The three-storey flagship starts on the ground floor, where customers can interact with various products.

The store has been designed with bold colours to contrast with steel, glass and glazed ceramic tiles for a “sophisticated simplicity” that reflects London’s “best-known luxury retail destination”.

The lower ground floor acts as a “sensorium”, providing a dynamic sound experience where customers can listen to their favourite songs using Bang & Olufsen products.

The first floor offers bespoke solutions, allowing visitors to become creators of their own designs, personalising products that are then crafted by the retailer in its specialist factory in Denmark.

A programme of cultural events, ranging from live music and podcasts to streamed panel discussions and art exhibitions, will also take place on the first floor.

Bang & Olufsen chief executive Kristian Teär said: “We are excited to open the doors to our new flagship store in one of the world’s premier luxury shopping destinations.

“Since 1925, Bang & Olufsen has brought magical experiences to the lives of people all over the world.

“We wanted to extend this feeling to our new London flagship store by becoming the destination where you can hear, see and feel the magic of Bang & Olufsen, and experience our products and unique heritage.”
