Shop price inflation has eased thanks to investment in retail ‘paying off’, says BRC

Shop price inflation has fallen to its lowest level since October 2021 as retailers’ investments in operations and supply chains is “paying off”, according to the British Retail Consortium.

The latest BRC-NielsenIQ Shop Price Index shows annual shop price inflation slowed to 0.2% in June, down from 0.6% in May and below the three-month average rate of 0.5%.
