Entertainment retailer HMV is launching its Christmas marketing campaign today, featuring icons of the worlds of music, film and games. The campaign will stretch across press, TV, online and in stores, and feature the ‘Get Merry’ tagline.

The ads feature icons such as Lady GaGa, Take That and Buzz Lightyear as 3D-style baubles, hanging from a Christmas tree (pictured).

The retailer’s Pure HMV loyalty scheme will “underpin” the campaign to encourage its 1.4 million membership to ‘Reward Someone You Love This Christmas’. HMV group head of brand creative Mark Robertson said the campaign “taps into the public’s child-like sentiment for Christmas”.
