Selling via social media apps like TikTok Shop and Instagram will drive £9.1bn in revenue for non-food retailers in the UK over 2025, new research from Retail Economics and social commerce platform Unbox.

Gen Z shoppers said that they were twice as likely to trust creators as brands when deciding what to buy, while over half now use TikTok or Instagram instead of Google to research products.
