Footwear retailer Crocs has hired Nike director Tim Lyons to lead its European retail operation.

Lyons, who is based in The Netherlands, is responsible for Crocs’ 115 owned stores and 98 franchise stores across 45 countries.

He was previously director of Nike’s factory stores throughout western Europe. He has previously held senior roles at Marks & Spencer and Gap.

Lyons will report into Crocs’ European commercial director Ann Chan.

Crocs Europe managing director Vince Gunn said: “Our retail business continues to be key to our strategy of repositioning the Crocs brand in Europe. Tim’s vast retail experience, gained within global organizations, will deliver additional strength in our plans to achieve this.”
