Missguided’s founder Nitin Passi is launching a standalone menswear website, Mennace, next month following the release of a capsule collection.

The website will feature the full autumn 2017 collection, which consists of hoodies, jackets, jeans, joggers and T-shirts, according to Drapers.

Prices for the collection are yet to be released but the capsule collection, which was sold on rival site Asos, was priced above the Missguided bracket at around £20 for a T-shirt.

Its aesthetic is based around “smart and casual pieces with a premium edge” and makes use of on-trend colour palettes and “directional fabrics”.

Passi launched Missguided in 2009. The value fast-fashion youth-focused etailer is now rapidly expanding its bricks-and-mortar presence with stores in high-profile locations such as Bluewater and Westfield Stratford.

Its sales increased 75% to £206m in the 12 months to March 2017, although it failed to declare profits.

It has engaged Rothschild to explore options for a sale or float, with outside investment expected to come in 2018 or 2019.
