Innisfree

South Korean natural cosmetics brand Innisfree, owned by Amore Pacific, was launched in 2000 and uses natural botanical ingredients from South Korea’s Jeju Island.

Its name is inspired by William Butler Yeats’ poem The Lake Isle of Innisfree, and the brand’s products are designed to bring the natural benefits of the island, such as its enriched soil and unpolluted water, to consumers.

Its products include the orchid, volcanic scoria and green tea lines. The organic green tea is nourished for three years from the organic soil of the Seo-Gwang Tea Field in Jeju, which is owned and operated by Innisfree and is the core ingredient in all its green tea products.

As well as using pure natural ingredients, Innisfree has introduced a number of eco-friendly campaigns such as asking consumers to return empty bottles for recycling.

In 2005 it opened its first brand store, expanding quickly to open its 100th in 2007. Store locations include South Korea, China, Singapore, India, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia.
