The yetis, which were made by the special effects team behind the James Bond movies, whizz through the snow-capped streets of Warsaw in the 60 second ad that is soundtracked by an adaptation of What’s This?, a song written by Danny Elfman for The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The yetis are meant to represent Argos’ speedy delivery service.

Argos marketing director Stephen Vowles said: “Fun loving and friendly, these larger-than-life, speeding yetis colourfully bring to life the role that Argos hopes to play in the Christmases of families nationwide this Christmas – and the skill, speed and precision that make us market leaders, with our super-speedy, same day Fast Track Delivery and Fast Track Collection services.”

Argos pulled a stunt to tease the campaign earlier this week by sending three yetis skating through London to give out gifts.
