British Fashion Council homes in on ex-New Look boss Sunnucks

Former New Look chief executive Stephen Sunnucks is understood to be in talks with the British Fashion Council about a possible role.

Sunnucks left New Look last month after its founder Tom Singh took the business private, in a deal backed by venture capitalist Permira.

A well-informed source said: 'Sunnucks is keen to help the British Fashion Council, but there's nothing official yet.'

The British Fashion Council is understood to be interested in his expertise.

Sunnucks was unavailable for comment.

Last December, former Arcadia chief executive Stuart Rose was appointed chairman of the British Fashion Council.
