Scorey joined Actif Group in November to revitalise the Elle brand. She previously worked for Ted Baker, where she developed the retailer's womenswear offer.
Actif chief executive Mark Evans said: 'I am delighted to welcome Catherine to the board. She has excellent credentials within premium brand ladies fashion and we are very pleased with the impact she has made on the development of the spring/summer 06 Elle collections.'
Seymour Pierce analyst Rhys Williams commented on Ghinn's departure. He said: 'While we are sorry to see Julian leaving, especially as he has done such a fantastic job on cash management and reducing the debt of the group, his replacement is well versed in Actif Group's systems and processes and should create a seamless handover.'
