American Golf has unveiled a new structure and a raft of new hires as it gears up for growth.

Foley will be tasked growing its online business and bringing together its web development and marketing team in a new London premises which it is moving into in 2013.

As part of the changes, its online distribution will be managed by a third party, Clipper Logistics. The move will results in redundancies at its distribution centre in Harlow, Essex although the retailer said that only a “small number of roles” would be affected.

American Golf, which was acquired by Sun European Partners last December, is centralising its buying function which will be based at its Warrington retail support centre. It has strengthened the team with appointments from JJB Sports, Reebok and Matalan. It is looking to hire a head of buying.

In addition to integrated capabilities and increased capacity, the developments give us a fresh injection of talent with the skills that will further strengthen our market leading position.”
