Online giant Amazon has signed up with delivery service Collect+ so its customers can pick up their purchases at 4,700 local convenience stores across the UK.

Collect+ chief executive Mark Lewis said: “By opting for a Collect+ ‘pick up location’ at checkout, Amazon customers can choose to collect their items from one of our thousands of shops nationwide, at a time that suits them best.”

The service is already integrated into Amazon’s Markeplace so its third party sellers can choose to use the delivery service.

Amazon is the latest in a long line of retailers to adopt the delivery service. Major online players Asos and Shop Direct have already signed up to the service. 18% of Shop Direct brand Very’s sales were delivered to Collect+ stores in the run-up to Christmas last year.
