Retailer valued at £311 million
Shareholders in garden centre group Wyevale have approved an offer for the business from retail entrepreneur Tom Hunter and Icelandic private equity firm Baugur.

The WCC Hortis consortium, comprising Hunter's TBH Trading and BG Holdings, a Baugur subsidiary, made the offer of 555p last month. The bid values the company at£311 million.

Shareholders voted to accept the offer at an EGM today.

The new owners will continue to run the company as a garden centre business after the acquisition is completed on June 19.
