The stalled development of Trinity Walk in Wakefield has restarted with builders back on site aiming to hit its spring 2011 opening deadline.

The development was halted after its developer Modus hit the buffers in May last year. AREA Property Partners, Sovereign Land and Shepherd Construction joined forces to buy the scheme from the administrator in December and have now re-started work on the 500,000 sq ft scheme.

Trinity will include Wakefield’s first modern department store with Debenhams as one of its anchor tenants. The shopping centre is expected to be one of very few new developments to open next year.
