Westfield has set up a distribution centre close to its Stratford City site to help retailers overcome delivery restrictions.
The facility, four miles from the £1.45bn shopping complex which opens today, will provide a warehouse for retailers in the scheme.
Goods can then be delivered to the centre at off-peak times.
Westfield Stratford City brings 1.9m sq ft of retail and leisure space and houses 300 shops including Marks & Spencer, Forever 21, Superdry and Waitrose. Department store John Lewis anchors the scheme with a 260,000 sq ft store.
