VV Rouleaux in hunt for eight city centre units

Ribbons and trimmings specialist VV Rouleaux has launched an expansion drive that could see it grow from two stores to 10 over the next 18 months.

At the moment, VV Rouleaux trades from Marylebone High Street and Sloane Square in central London, but the retailer has now retained Hartnell Taylor Cook to identify eight shops in major city centres to open and trade before Christmas 2004.

HTC associate partner Gareth Holland said the ideal unit would offer 1,500 sq ft (140 sq m) of ground floor sales space, with 300 sq ft (28 sq m) of back-up accommodation.

'We are looking at high streets rather than shopping centres, and character buildings in edge of prime and good secondary locations,' said Holland.

Priority locations are Cardiff, Chester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Nottingham.
