Park said that sales at its corporate vouchers business were 38 higher year on year in the period covering April to the end of June,

Online voucher sales via were 70 per cent ahead of the same period last year.

Chairman Peter Johnson said: “An increasing number of customers choose to harness the efficiency and convenience of the internet to manage their relationship with Park, which has helped us to improve customer service and reduce costs.”

Park said that its Christmas savings business was also performing well. Orders rose 10%. 

The company’s new pre-paid card, Flexecash — which will be redeemable in retailers including Argos, Bhs, Comet, Debenhams, HMV, Matalan and New Look — is proving popular.

Johnson said: “Unforeseen circumstances aside, we will be reporting another sound trading performance at the half year.”
