Vodafone is eyeing another 50 retail stores in the UK and hiring 500 staff to try and improve customer service.

The new shops will bring the mobile phone group’s retail portfolio to more than 400 stores. The first will open in Bristol, London and Liverpool.

Vodafone plans to open the rest of the stores over the next 12 months and to build up better customer service.

Vodafone director of consumer sales Tom Devine said: “To deliver the best service, we need to make sure that our customers and potential customers can speak face to face with a retail adviser at a town near them.”
