US private Sales etailer Zulily is considering its options in the UK less than three years after it first entered the market.

The etailer, which runs daily Sales lasting up to 72 hours, launched in the UK in April 2012.

A spokeswoman for Zulily said: “We have a strong base of customers in the UK and other international markets, and we are committed to providing them with the best possible Zulily experience. We are currently working with our team in the UK to evaluate the best approach for the UK business. Under all circumstances, we plan to continue serving our customers in the UK over the long term.”

A source told Retail Week that Zulily would be making redundancies. A spokeswoman said “no redundancies have been made at this time”.

Zulily, which has about 4.5 million active members, said net sales for the 12 weeks to September 28 increased 72% to $285.8m (£189.6m). Adjusted EBITDA rocketed 257% to $6.4m (£4.2m).
