Torex gets £7m extension to its WHSmith IT deal

WHSmith Travel has renewed its contract to outsource its IT to Torex Retail until 2007, in a contract worth£7 million.

Torex will provide the IT for more than 130 WHSmith stores at train stations and airports, as it has for the past four years. The contract covers EPoS, warehouse management and head office finance and merchandising. Torex will also provide and manage the networking between the stores.

WHSmith Travel retail finance and systems director Graham Miller said: 'Torex have consistently demonstrated their ability to meet and exceed our requirements.'
