Tie Rack is to rebrand as Tie Rack London and is considering Europe and Asia for growth opportunities.

Tie Rack will open its first new-look store with the updated fascia on Oxford Street next week. It will then roll it out to the rest of its 110 UK stores and international portfolio.

The new fascia is a nod to the brand’s British heritage. Brand director Julia Darlington said the retailer would move away from its masculine image and try to appeal to a younger customer. She said: “Not many people are aware of our women’s offer, which now accounts for half of our turnover.”

Darlington said the retailer wants to bolster its international presence – it operates in 28 countries at present – focusing on Europe and Asia, beginning with China.
