Chocolatier Thorntons has opened its first area dedicated to hot chocolate products in a store in Nottingham.
The Hot Chocolate Bar combines a hot chocolate station with Thorntons’ traditional product range. The station has a chocolate fountain in the window for customers to dip in fresh strawberries, fudge and marshmallows, and a chocolatier in store can hand-finish the products.
The Hot Chocolate Bar is Thorntons’ latest store concept. Thorntons also unveiled five refreshed stores in Kingston upon Thames, Reading, Bluewater, Edinburgh and Nottingham this year. The refresh has been designed to create a more upmarket environment, with a colour palette of bright red and off-white.
The Hot Chocolate Bar will be reviewed in the new year and rolled further if it is deemed a success.
