£180 million of acquisitions for retail park investor
Specialist retail park investor The Junction has spent£180 million adding two new parks in Telford and Slough to its portfolio. It now owns 19 parks worth£1.2 billion, providing more than 3.9 million sq ft (362,310 sq m) of floorspace.

In Telford, The Junction has agreed to pay Stadium Retail Investments£105 million for the Telford Forge Retail Park. Tenants on the 315,000 sq ft (29,265 sq m) park, which has an Open A1 (unrestricted) planning consent, include Sainsbury's, Next, TK Maxx, Arcadia, Boots and JJB.

The Slough Retail Park has been bought from Land Securities for£75 million. The 150,000 sq ft (13,935sq m) park has a bulky goods planning consent and is occupied by DFS, Homebase, Wickes, MFI, Harveys, Furniture Land and Land of Leather.

The Junction chief executive Andrew Lewis-Pratt said, 'The purchase of Telford Forge Shopping Park is a particularly significant addition as it reflects our intention to create a more balanced portfolio of Open A1 and Bulky Goods parks.'
