The Junction buys Morfa for £105 million

Shopping centre owner Capital & Regional has sold its Morfa Shopping Park in Swansea to developer and owner The Junction for£105 million.

The 265,000 sq ft (24,620 sq m) scheme is adjacent to the the city's new Liberty football and rugby stadium and has tenants include TK Maxx, Boots, Next, New Look and Asda George.

Claire Clark, fund manager for The Junction Fund at Morley Fund Management, said: 'A shopping park of this quality is highly sought after and is therefore a significant acquisition for The Junction.'

She added that The Junction now represents about 8 per cent of the total UK retail warehouse market.
