Food giant Premier Foods has partly blamed a proft warning on the delisting of some of its Hovis products by Tesco.

Premier - the UK’s largest food producer - said the dispute cost it £10m in its second quarter. It did not name Tesco in the profit warning but the dispute was widely reported at the time.

Premier said trading profits for the first half will come in between £65 and £70m, versus £94m in the same period in 2010. It said the dispute, which followed a “successful repricing exercise” by Premier, has now been fully resolved and the products relisted.
