IT problems continue to thwart launch
Tesco has delayed the launch of its furniture catalogue as a second major glitch hit the company's foray into non food in as many weeks.

The supermarket blamed the hold-up on the same IT problem that stymied the launch of the online push last week.

The group had planned to distribute up to 2 million catalogues to 15 stores by yesterday, but according to The Times, customers hoping to pick up the brochures were disappointed, instructed by signs that the catalogue would be in stores within a couple of weeks.

The supermarket giant is to invest to£35 million into the non-food assault, which was to begin with the launch of the online site, selling 8,000 non-food lines last week. The unveiling of the site was thrown a week off schedule by IT problems.
