Truell?s consortium snaps up chain
Terra Firma, the private equity group headed by Guy Hands, has reportedly sold off-wine retailer Threshers to a consortium led by Edmund Truell, founder of independent private equity company Duke Street Capital.

It is believed that the amount was significantly less than the£225 million Hands' private equity firm paid for it seven years ago. However, Terra Firma is reported to have made a profit from the investment after raising£200 million through a sale and leaseback of Threshers' freehold estate.

It is understood that the deal was completed earlier this week.
