Success attributed to strong collections
Designer clothing brand Ted Baker revealed retail sales increased 11 per cent from November 1 to December 24, against the same period last year - in line with expectations.

According to the company, the brand's strong collections have once again driven consistent double-digit sales growth, both in the UK and overseas.

Gross margins were in line with last year and the retailer starts the new season with a clean stock position.

Ted Baker chief executive Ray Kelvin said: 'The performance is in line with expectations and we look forward to a successful outcome for the full year.'

In December, a further licensed store was opened in Dubai, with the group now operating six outlets under licence across Asia and the Middle East. Additional stores are scheduled to open in the next financial year.
