Sainsbury’s has launched a mobile phone network in conjunction with Vodafone to drive customer loyalty.
The service, Mobile by Sainsbury’s, will launch later this summer and the grocer said customers will be able to collect Nectar points by using the service.
Sainsbury’s group development director Luke Jensen said: “Our customers trust us to provide top quality products and service at fair prices, and Mobile by Sainsbury’s feels like a natural extension of our brand as well as a great way to reward our customers.”
The full product range and pricing will be revealed at launch later this summer.
Sainsbury’s has been developing new business as part of its business strategy. In the last year it has launched eBooks by Sainsbury’s, mp3 downloads and video on demand.
