UK supermarket Waitrose has introduced a new payment system across its entire estate to enhance customer service.
The new system from S1 will integrate with the existing EPoS application, and has been installed in all 227 store on 4,000 till points. The grocer has historically used payment hardware and software from a single supplier.
Kevin Berry, systems director of Waitrose said: “It is important to Waitrose that our new system processes card payment transactions at all times, providing the high quality of service expected by our customers. S1 offers a flexible payments platform that integrates easily with our EPoS application and helps simplify compliance with banking standards.”
