Photography retailer Jessops has launched an e-gift card service that allows shoppers to redeem vouchers in store via their mobile device.
The cards can be purchased online and redeemed in store. Shoppers are sent an email or Facebook message containing a 16 digit code and a bar code, which can be used to redeem the gift card.
Alternatively, shoppers can show the gift voucher on their smartphones to a sales assistant in store. The cards can also be personalised with messages and photos.
Jessops marketing and e-commerce director Sean Emmett said: “We are very excited to launch this new service to our customers as we consistently strive to provide Jessops customers with more choice in every area of our business and therefore making the shopping experience with us easier and more convenient at all times. Being able to buy a gift online 24/7 and spend the gift card in over 180 stores nationwide is a great example of this.”
The retailer is working with CashStar to provide the service.
