Boots has extended its 10-year strategic partnership with IT services provider Steria.

The firm has managed 350 of Boots’ business applications for the past decade. The partnership has been extended for three years with an optional two year extension.

Boots said the partnership will result in cost savings and “higher levels of performance”.

The applications include business systems such as HR, along with desktop and legacy systems.

The aim of the partnership is to continue aligning the business’ strategy with its IT offer, and Boots IT director Jonathan Vardon said he wants to focus on innovation that will improve customer service.
