Ikea and Dixons goods delayed as efforts to shift stranded Suez ship continue

Container ship

Ikea and Dixons Carphone are among those with goods stuck on the container ship that has been stranded in the Suez Canal for almost a week.

The ship, Ever Given, has been blocking the trade route since last Tuesday, with roughly 20,000 containers on board including electricals, furniture and livestock.

The accident has put even more pressure on European US supply chains, which have been impacted by the demands of the coronavirus pandemic.
