Health and beauty retailer Superdrug has scored a coup by signing pop star Leona Lewis to front its skin safety campaign Shunburn.

This summer, Superdrug will promote the Teenage Cancer Trust’s campaign with images of Leona Lewis taken by Paul McCartney’s daughter Mary. Featuring in 913 stores and online, the campaign will focus on how to stay safe in the sun.

Trading director Jeff Wemyss said: “Sun safety is vitally important, because the number of Britons diagnosed with skin cancer rises every year. We are making it easier than ever for customers to protect themselves by giving them the right advice for their skin at the same time as raising funds for this very worthwhile charity.”
