Ex-New Look boss to head fashion giant's European operations
Former New Look chief executive Stephen Sunnucks has been appointed European president of US fashion retailer Gap.

Sunnucks will relinquish non-executive directorships at Fat Face and Phase Eight, the latter of which he helped through a management buy-out. He is understood to be overseeing Gap's expansion in the UK and France and is expected to take up the position by the end of June.

Sunnucks left New Look last year, after it was taken into private ownership, with a golden handshake of nearly£8 million.

Gap has 169 European stores, including 135 in the UK.
