The Retail Trust has launched a new consumer-facing campaign urging shoppers to show respect for retail staff as abuse levels soar on the shop floor.

The campaign follows new research results collected by the charity that found over three-quarters of shop staff experienced intimidating behaviour in the last year and a quarter were physically assaulted.
