Currys’ investment in infrastructure is due to businesses wanting face-to-face services

Currys Business has seen 75,000 new business customers in the past year, and is expanding and rebranding to capture more of the UK’s small business technology market.

Under the rebrand, the website and advertising has been updated, with a rebranding of uniforms and stores taking place in the next few weeks.

Its network of specialised business hubs have also expanded as it aims to capitalise on what Currys Business calls “surging demand” from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) going through digital transformation and rising costs.

It added three new local business hubs in Stevenage, Solihull and Exeter last month. The total number of stores is 57 nationwide, with another three planned this year.

Each hub is located within a Currys store, and offers local SMEs consultations, exclusive business pricing, 30-day payment terms and services.

The retailer says the investment in infrastructure is due to businesses wanting face-to-face service, a “key differentiator” from Amazon Business and other competitors.

Currys Business also offers delivery, installation, onsite configuration, and end-of-life support such as disposing of secure IT assets and bulk recycling.

As AI-enabled technology becomes more commonplace, the retailer can also help customers understand how to use it to drive growth and transform their business.
