Bensons for Beds has returned to Tottenham Court Road in London with a new store.

The furniture retailer opened the store on the famous interiors and homewares shopping street this week, describing its return as a “major milestone in the company’s transformation strategy”.
Bensons for Beds closed its Tottenham Court Road store among several others when it entered administration in 2020, and the recent opening is one of several new and refurbished store openings during the year.
Bensons chief executive Nick Collard said: “This is a symbol of how far we’ve come. Bensons for Beds is back on Tottenham Court Road, alongside the UK’s biggest furniture retailers, and we couldn’t be more pleased.”
The store also has a new format, as it experiments with smaller high street stores as part of its plan to expand within urban areas and commuter markets.
It features a “capsule collection” of beds, mattresses and accessories from the retailer’s own brands: Slumberland, Staples & Co, Simply by Bensons and Eve Sleep, as well as an in-store digital tool to match consumers with their ideal bed and mattress.
Bensons for Beds chief retail officer Paul Owen said: “Tottenham Court Road is a bold, strategic return for Bensons. Showing that we can lead the market in design, personalisation and experience, even in compact, city-centre spaces.
“We believe there’s a clear opportunity to expand our footprint within the M25 and other markets in the UK. I wish all our colleagues at the new store the very best of luck as we go into our peak period of trading.”
