Retail media: The advertising opportunities the World Cup can bring

This year marks the first men’s FIFA World Cup taking place in the summer for eight years, and will have more matches than ever, more teams qualified than ever, and 16 cities across the US, Canada and Mexico set to host games.

As more people are likely to watch games at home during the tournament due to the late kick-offs, a chunk of the retail sector will want to make the most of advertising opportunities.
