Gymshark has unveiled plans for its first permanent retail location in London as it ramps up for international bricks-and-mortar expansion.

The store, which is set to open next summer, will be located on Regent Street with the sportswear giant signing a 10-year lease on the space.

The flagship, which will span 18,000 square feet, will lead to the creation of more than 100 jobs.

Gymshark plans to use the location as a space to meet its consumers in real life, as well as a location to purchase its products. The brand said the space will be used to host events and will include workout studios for consumers.

The location is one of the brand’s planned “experiential spaces”. Gymshark said stores “can be expected all over the world”.

Gymshark recorded revenues of over £400m in its last financial year with the company now operating in 180 countries.

Founder and chief executive Ben Francis said: “I’m so excited that we are opening our first permanent [in real life] location. We knew if we were going to do this, it would have to be an iconic location and it doesn’t get much more iconic than Regent Street.

“We are nothing without our community, so we wanted to create something that allows us to thank them and get closer to them. This store is not going to be like anything you have seen before. It will be an unforgettable experience and we can’t wait to welcome them through the doors next summer.”
