Decathlon UK will expand its website to include products from new brands in a fresh bid to help make sport more accessible to its customers.

Sportswear giants Adidas and Speedo will be sold on Decathlonâs marketplace as it shifts it model beyond own-brand to bolster its appeal to a wider range of customers.
Decathlonâs website will include thousands of new products from these partners alongside Decathlonâs own-brand offerings, with a keen focus on health and sport.
Partners on the new marketplace will also include London start-up Donda Cycling and Pendle Bike Racks, a Lancashire-based company offering cycle carriers and bike storage solutions.
An additional partner that will be featured on the new marketplace will be eco-friendly yoga brand, Corkspace.

Online demand growing in the sports market
The move from Decathlon forms part of the brandâs strategy to adapt to the âeverchanging retail landscapeâ as it aims to meet consumer demand in the online space.
The new online marketplace, which is powered by Mirakl Marketplace Platform, will cater to a wider range of UK consumers. The brand has launched similar initiatives in Belgium, with the marketplace currently accounting for 8.5% of all sales on the Belgian website.
Marketplace sales at Decathlon are projected to exceed âŹ1bn across Europe within the next five years.
âWe want to be able to offer UK customers the best choice of sports productsâ
Decathlon Marketplace business developer Ashley Milns said: âOur mission is to sustainably make sport accessible to the many and our new marketplace allows us to improve our current range whilst opening up new categories, catering for an even wider range of customers.â
âWeâre very proud of our in-house passion brands, and the innovation and quality they offer. However, we want to be able to offer UK customers the best choice of sports products and we believe our marketplace will achieve this.â
