Retail Property Holdings’ £350 million Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow opened its doors last week.

The 75-acre (30.4 ha) site at Pollock in southwest Glasgow has tripled the size of the centre. The 1 million sq ft (92,900 sq m) scheme now offers 85 stores, 15 restaurants and cafés and is anchored by Marks & Spencer, Debenhams and Next.

Other retailers to open at the scheme include Monsoon, Jane Norman, New Look, Wallis, Body Shop and Topshop. The scheme has four areas – Crescent, Square, Lane and Circus – and also features a Tesco.

The centre was designed by Building Design Partnership and constructed by Bovis Lend Lease UK. The final phase, a 200,000 sq ft (18,580 sq m) area of cafés and restaurants, will be completed early next year. Letting agents are CBRE and SGM Property Consultants.
