Pant sales rocket
George at Asda revealed sales of big black support pants have gone through the roof, thanks to movie star Sienna Miller stepping out in a pair in New York last night.
Sales of George's£6 version, virtually identical to Miller's, surged 230 per cent compared to the previous week.
George is offering a free pair of knickers to anyone called Sienna. Customers need to bring in their birth certificate to a George outlet to collect a pair.
A George spokesman said: 'We can't believe the reaction. When it comes to a fashion trend, many people have thought the idea to be pants. Our customers have said knickers to that and are buying them by the shed load. They love them.'
The black pants are available in all Asda stores.
